Dr. Laura Ward
Dr. Laura Ward graduated from The University of Richmond, Virginia with her B.S. in biology. She then pursued her doctorate in veterinary medicine graduating from Ross University in 2005. Her clinical year was performed at the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. She enjoys spending time at the beach, boating, and fishing with her husband and twin sons. Her extended family consists of 2 cats and their black Labrador retriever mix. She has also worked at the Peninsula SPCA, performing spays and neuters for our local shelter animals, and has participated in “Operation Catnip”, a spay and neuter clinic for feral cats. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American Animal Hospital Association. Her special interests include emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery.
